The Reeves Family
Ruth: Educated at Rainow School, Macclesfield High School for Girls, Saffron Walden College and Worcester College of Higher Education where she graduated as MEd.
Ruth's specialisation is in Primary education although she has more extensive experience. She has now retired from teaching at King’s St Alban’s, a Junior department of The King’s School, Worcester and spends much of her time organising the church we support.
Edward: Educated at Gawsworth School, The King's School, Macclesfield and Peterhouse, Cambridge where I graduated in Mathematics.crlf
Since 1971, I taught at Wycliffe College, Stonehouse and The King’s School, Worcester, as Head of the Mathematics Department, but have prior experience in other fields. Since September 2002 I retired as Head of the Mathematics Department and spent more time teaching. I retired from teaching in 2006 and am now undertaking part-time postgraduate research into the theory of cosmology as a member of the Particle Physics Group at Manchester.
I have been a Rotarian for some years and was President of the Rotary Club of Worcester South in 1993-1994.
Both of us have had a long interest in Scouting & Guiding and were both active members of the Cambridge University Scout and Guide Club as well as warranted leaders for many years.
We have always been active supporters of the church of whatever parish we found ourselves in. Currently we attend the Parish Church of St John-in-Bedwardine where Ruth has been, and is again, a churchwarden and where I edit the Parish Magazine.
Music also figures largely. Ruth was a member of Worcester Festival Choral Society and both of us regularly help out at the Worcester Three Choirs Festival. We are currently members of Great Witley Operatic Society.
